Darwin is Australia’s most northern city. And given New Year’s Eve Darwin is in Summer it goes hand in hand that it will be pretty warm on the 31st December in Darwin. But the city by the water is awesome on a summers evening with the cool breeze from the Darwin harbour coast helping the natural ambiance.
Darwin has two main areas where the New Years Eve parties kick on. And in reality they are all not far apart. There is the main town where venues and restaurants abound with great atmosphere. And then there is the Wharf area where the venues are on the water. We have had a great time with the fireworks going off in the Wharf area and lots of restaurants and venues to cool your heels and get a refreshing drink.
